Every January, Tampa celebrates Gasparilla; in a modern day nutshell, a parade of floats with krewes dressed in pirate garb, throw beads to celebrate. There is a supposed history behind this pirate fest, but for most, it’s a lovely excuse to day drink and act a foo’ in public.

Unless you’re not drinking for 30 days, like me. Then you go because your friends are, and you just people watch
and pretend you don’t miss beer, or rum punch.
|People watching: why would she think this was a good idea?!|
Though Jason and I didn’t drink this year, we still enjoyed ourselves! The weather was perfect, and in the end, we weren’t ready for bed by 5pm like years past, so there is always a plus if you’re willing to look for it.
I love living in Tampa.
How was your weekend?
