There is so much going on these days! I have some really exciting projects in the works with a few other blog friends, and event pros in Tampa Bay. It’s funny, coordinating events on the side hasn’t given me nearly as many connections as this blog has. Regardless, I am stoked.
Speaking of recipes (sort of), this blog turned into more of a foodie site than a lifestyle. I didn’t plan for this to happen. The good news: my stats are way better as a foodie blogger, and clearly it is beginning to lead me to some great opportunities. The bad: I don’t feel as though I am connecting as much with my blog friends/new readers. I miss that aspect of keeping it real, yo’.
…So to keep it more real, I have a reader survey for you to take!
I say all this, and now I’m telling you things may be quiet here the next two or so weeks. I’m having a hard time adjusting to being a part-time guardian to our nephew. We’ll get through it, but he requires a lot of our time on weekends, which is when I typically work on zee blog. That and, we’re giving nephew his own room in our home (he doesn’t have a ton of stability in his life, which as you can imagine is causing some emotional issues in his short, little life, and we want him to have his own space at our place, even if he just with us on weekends), which means the room that was intended to be my office, which currently holds alllllll the stuff we never knew what to do with when we bought the house (and could simply close the door, and forget all about it) now needs to find a place. We have rented a storage unit for said ish, but we still need to go through it all. Right now our living room/dining room is housing approximately 3,210 boxes…I mean, that could be an exaggeration, but you get the jest. I *may* have had a slight meltdown over this, as I detest clutter. It’s all just an adjustment, but a big one for us.
Once I get through the next project (first paragraph) and figure out what do with all our stuff, I’ll be back. If you have any suggestions on how to entertain a six, almost seven year old boy, I am all ears!
If you want to come organize my junk, I welcome you with open arms.
If you want to pay me to stay home, I’ll love you forever <—- kidding.
Thanks for reading,
