Ohhh Monday, we meet again I see. At least this weekend was a nice balance of busy and relaxing, which was beyond needed! This weekend coming up will be a busy, busy one…but then I get a bit of time to chill after that, and I’m so looking forward to it.
Friday night was spent crafting a few more DIY projects for next weekend’s vintage inspired birthday party I am throwing. I was in no mood to cook [um, hello it was Friday], so we ordered pizza, and I added a glass of wine. Can we just discuss for a second that adult beverages + crafting = a less stressed moi? I should have started combining the two “activities”, a year ago.
Saturday, after trying to find parking
which took me forever in downtown St. Petersburg, I met with Jennifer and Krystal at The Avenue for lunch, before we attended the USF St. Pete Florida Food Conference, which was presented by the Department of Journalism and Media Studies, the only journalism program in the country to offer a fully-online or hybrid graduate certificate program in Food Writing and Photography to current students and non-degree seekers alike.
The whole conference was informative, and even though I felt like I did know a lot already at each session, I learned a few new things, and it also helped to rejuvenate me, as well. I was in need of a little blogger motivation, anyway.
Sunday, I met Steph to pick up my basket of fresh, local veggies for her Co-op For a Cure.
For $25, I received:
…if you’re in Tampa and what to not only support locally grown produce, but also donate to raise funds for #TeamJudy, I recommend contacting Steph , ASAP!
After picking up my basket o’ veggies, I needed to make my new, and favorite appetizer for yesterday’s sponsored blog post with La Marca Prosecco. The crostini was so good! I’m so excited to make it again, Wednesday for Jason.
The rest of my Sunday was spent watching Netflix, and meal planning. Exciting stuff, right? Ha
How was your weekend?
