I mean isn’t it still January 2014?! I’m not sure where this year has gone, but what.a.year it has been! My blog has grown, but the whole reason I started this site was to document my life as Mrs. Crews…so on with it, my friends!
I started 2014 with the idea that I’d live more in the moment. I did pretty well the first few months of the year. I think because we did our first Whole 30, and I had to be more present to change some habits. Plus, I turned 30 – and thought I’d forever change with a new decade. Ha
This all went down in the Spring, and I started to lose my focus – life got hella busy, ya’ll. Good busy, but hard for me to find the balance.
We decided it was time to buy our first home. We looked at somewhere between 15-17 homes, and ended up putting an offer on the first home we saw, and as you know we now own it [see our version of House Hunters, here]!
The summer brought new homeowner situations, another party I coordinated, my sister’s baby shower, and my sweet, perfect niece [#notbiased]. Not to mention, three other girlfriends had babies, and four more are expecting in 2015!
I’m not real sure where the Fall went. Work was insanely busy [still is. I digress], and I took my first business trip to our corporate office in c.o.l.d Minnesota! I finished getting our home as ready as I could for Thanksgiving with the in-laws, our Christmas party, and because we’ve lived here for six months, it was just time. Oh, and I bought a new car.
Jason finished another three semesters of law school [five more to go!!!], which makes me a happy wife. As fast as time seems to go, having a husband in law school is taking ages, it feels like.
We attended two local weddings this year.

A few times this year, I got lost, and am ready for a new year to start over, and focus. My 31st birthday is Friday [ewww], and I plan to share my thoughts and goals for next year, then.
Cheers to 2014! xoxo
