Life has been incredibly busy (said everyone, everywhere), but over the weekend I checked out from all adulting to get away with a few girlfriends for this year’s Cocoa Beach Uncorked. We had a fabulous time, and a little overnight trip away was just what I needed before a new month began.
Cocoa Beach is a little less than three hours from Casa de Crews, but I had never been to that coast of Florida. With Clearwater Beach so close to me, I never had a need to visit, if I’m being honest. But I’m glad I was able to visit! Cocoa Beach is a sleepy little spot, with a very chill vibe, and it kind of made me slow it down, and just BE, without too many distractions, which was surprisingly refreshing. I was invited to attend Cocoa Beach Uncorked as media, in exchange for promotion. All opinions are my own.
I brought my sister as my guest (after bringing Jason to Clearwater Beach Uncorked, it was my time for a little girls trip), and met up with a handful of other bloggers I adore from Tampa, and the Orlando area, and we sipped, savored, and took all the pictures while we were at Cocoa Beach Uncorked!
I was impressed with the amount of local restaurants serving up local bites with pride. I’ve been to similar events through the years, and I’d have to say Cocoa Beach Uncorked held their own, and had a lot more savory bites than I expected – which was great considering we had a lot of bevvys to try.
The vendors in attendance seemed to be having just as much fun as the guests – again, not to keep repeating myself, but at similar events, I kind of always feel like the promo peeps are kind of bored there, and I get that in a way, because they are working, but also, if they’re having fun, I’m having fun, and I’m more apt to chat with them, and learn about their products!
Because we’re responsible adults, we stayed overnight and enjoyed dinner with a view, overlooking the waves, before walking on the beach. And we may have also ubered a whopping three miles to get ice cream. It was worth it, you guys.
Cocoa Beach Uncorked was a fun time, and the weather in April was perfect. I’m glad I was able to stick my toes in the sand, and disconnect with some of my favorites, eating and drinking in Cocoa Beach, Florida!
