Happy [almost] Valentine’s Day, and Happy Friday! This week was a long one, and I am so glad we’re almost to the end.
We all celebrate Valentine’s Day differently. Every year, it seems to be different for Jason and I. The very first Vday we were dating, he surprised me with a fully loaded gift card to Starbucks [before me, Jason refused to step foot inside one…another story, for another day. The fact that he went in and bougt me a gc…that’s how I knew this guy loved me!], and reservations at the Melting Pot. But since everyone else wanted to also go to a nice dinner, guess what time we ate? 5:30pm and $150 later…it wasn’t all that romantic, in the end.
Some years since that first Vday, we’ve gone to hockey games, movies, fancy dinners in…last year, we went back to the restaurant we went to for Jason’s birthday the year he proposed.
I love love. I enjoy a cheesy chick-flick. I like getting cards for not only Jason, but always to a few select girlfriends, and to my parents [and now, new sweet baby niece!], of course. No matter how you “celebrate”, I hope you tell the ones you care for, you love them, and that you tell them often. I overuse that word with everyone I care about. #sorrynotsorry. I love you, and I don’t care who knows it!
Anyway, enough rambling…here are some of my fave Vday thangs for 2015!

That pup mug is pretty much amazing!
I LOVE Crazy Stupid Love. And low-key holidays are the best…we literally spent Christmas Day with just the two of us and didn’t even leave the house. I’m excited for Valentine’s Day more this year than years in the past because it’s the last holiday before Isaiah goes to the academy, and he won’t be here for our 5 year anniversary. So this is kind of feeling like a substitute for that!
