homemade gingerbread latte

This homemade gingerbread latte is the perfect winter drink. With warm spices like ginger, nutmeg and molasses, it tastes like the holidays in a mug!

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons Gingerbread Syrup - homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup whole milk - can also use almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup brewed black coffee - steaming hot
  • ground cinnamon, for serving - (optional)
  • whipped cream, for serving - (optional)
  • gingerbread cookies, for serving - (optional)

Instructions

  • To a medium saucepan, combine gingerbread syrup and milk and bring to a simmer, heating the mixture until it is steaming. When the mixture is steaming hot, remove it from the heat. Using a small whisk or a fork, whisk until frothy (or add to a blender and blend for 1 minute).
  • Stir hot coffee into the milk mixture.
  • Divide the latte between 2 mugs. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon and a cookie, if desired. Sip and enjoy!
