Beer Margaritas with Corona

When you can't decide between a margarita, or a Corona, sip on a Beer Margarita; the best of both worlds! Made with fresh squeezed lime juice.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice - about 5-6 limes
  • 6 ounces simple syrup - (recipe to follow)
  • 1 12-ounce bottle Corona
  • 12 ounces tequila
  • 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
  • 1 cup water
  • margarita salt, or sea salt, to garnish - optional
  • lime wedges, for garnish - optional

simple syrup

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  • To a pitcher, add lime juice, and simple syrup. Mix well. Pour Corona beer, tequila. Grand Marnier, and water. Stir to combine.
  • Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each of glass, and dip it into salt.
  • Pour margaritas over ice, top with lime wedge (if using) and enjoy!

simple syrup

  • In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved, about 3-5 minutes, whisking occasionally. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. Can me made several days in advance.

Notes

serves 4-6. Can easily be doubled or tripled for a party!
