Easy Horseradish Sauce Made With Sour Cream

This horseradish sauce recipe is made with sour cream, Dijon mustard and lemon juice; creamy, tangy, and ready in minutes. Your new fave dip!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2-3 tablespoons prepared horseradish - from the jar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard - in a pinch, you can use yellow mustard if needed
  • juice from 1/2 lemon, plus more to taste - 1/2 lemon should yield about 1TSP
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
  • fresh chives or parsley as garnish - optional

Instructions

  • To a medium bowl, add the sour cream, jarred horseradish, Dijon mustard, and juice from 1/2 lemon. Season with 1 heaping pinch of kosher salt and black pepper. Whisk to combine well. Adjust to taste once combined and add additional lemon juice or salt and pepper, as desired.
  • Tranfer to an airtight container with a lid and store in the refrigerator, for 1-2 hours for best flavor.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs, if using, before serving.

Notes

will make approx 3/4 cup of creamy horseradish sauce. 1tbsp per serving.
