1teaspoonDijon mustard - in a pinch, you can use yellow mustard if needed
juice from 1/2 lemon, plus more to taste - 1/2 lemon should yield about 1TSP
kosher salt and ground black pepper, to taste
fresh chives or parsley as garnish - optional
Instructions
To a medium bowl, add the sour cream, jarred horseradish, Dijon mustard, and juice from 1/2 lemon. Season with 1 heaping pinch of kosher salt and black pepper. Whisk to combine well. Adjust to taste once combined and add additional lemon juice or salt and pepper, as desired.
Tranfer to an airtight container with a lid and store in the refrigerator, for 1-2 hours for best flavor.
Garnish with fresh herbs, if using, before serving.
Notes
will make approx 3/4 cup of creamy horseradish sauce. 1tbsp per serving.
