Ingredients

  • 2 large Russet potatoes, sliced into 1/3-inch thick sticks
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil - or avocado (or use nonstick cooking spray for less fat)
  • homemade french fries seasoning

homemade french fries seasoning:

  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375℉.
  • Scrub and dry Russet potatoes. Slice into 1/3-inch thick sticks.
  • Add sliced potato sticks to a large mixing bowl and cover with cold water. Soak for 15-30 minutes, up to overnight if needed for advance prep.
  • Rinse and drain potatoes and pat dry.
  • Toss potatoes in oil or cooking spray and toss to combine with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika.
  • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer so that the potatoes are not touching. You may have to work in batches depending on the size of your basket. Air fry at 375℉ for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway, or until crispy*

Notes

*Check at around 10 minutes and flip and check for doneness until crispy for another 5-10 minutes. Cook times can vary depending on your specific air fryer.
HOW TO REHEAT FRENCH FRIES IN AIR FRYER:
Reheat leftover French fries at 375 degrees F for 3-5 minutes until crispy again. I don’t recommend using the microwave unless you want leftover fries that are soggy (I know you don’t!)
