Clean-eating homemade ranch dip with a kick. Perfect for anything you could ever think to toss in ranch dressing or dip, with zero guilt!
Last month, in between all of our holiday shindigs, my husband decided we needed to have friends over to watch a football game – a game that could clinch our home team for a playoff spot (spoiler alert: it was a close game, but we did not win). Normally, I am on board for any and all reasons to have friends over for food and football, but I was exhausted from everything else we had going on during the holiday hustle.
As a girl who likes a plan, I felt super unprepared for our impromptu watch party. I swear I know how to go with the flow, but when it comes to hosting, I like to have a menu in mind, so I know everyone will be happy and full.
But then, I remembered I had everything on hand that I need to make my homemade ranch dressing – quick, easy, and flavorful – just what I needed for a homegating party, right? I knew I was making a quick + easy ranch dip, but needed to decide quickly what we were using it with.
I also tossed tortilla chips, and veggies into my cart to round out the menu – because veggies dunked in ranch is never a bad decision.
The last time I made my homemade ranch dressing, and added chipotle, our friends legit put it on everything. And so, I wanted to test their taste buds again, and add a new twist; at the last minute I decided to add 1/2 diced jalapeno, and some fresh cilantro. The combo is a perfect dip pairing for Tequila Lime Chicken Wings and veggies! Once again, they dipped pretty much everything in this cleaner version of ranch dressing/dip all game long.
If you like spicy, you can easily add a whole jalapeno. But if you can’t handle the heat, or you know your guests can’t, opt to use 1/2 a fresh jalapeno for this homemade ranch dip.

I tend to skip the chicken wing section of Sam’s but now I’m thinking that’s a bad idea. Tequila lime sounds delicious! 🙂 I was thinking about your salsa the other day too. It will definitely be making an appearance soon! 🙂

You’re reminding me I need to make that salsa again too! It’s so good! I love these wings – I do prefer to make my own, but honestly if you’re going to buy pre-made, these are a good option, and the flavor combo is delish!

Girl, this recipe is RIGHT up my alley – I love everything that’s got a little jalapeno in it, and ranch AND jalapeno? Heck. Yes. I’m looking forward to trying this one out!
