Vanilla Chai White Russians
This cocktail is such an easy and fun drink to sip in the fall or winter. Also, it’s SO easy. Just four ingredients stand between you and this Vanilla Chai White Russian.
You know what else is easy? My Pumpkin Spiced White Russian cocktail, if you want options.
what goes into a white russian
Traditionally, a White Russian cocktail is made with vodka, coffee liqueur (think: Kahlúa) and a splash of heavy cream. That’s all it takes – three little ingredients for one tasty drink.
what makes this a Vanilla Chai White Russian
Honestly, just a generous dash of actual chai spice mix + vanilla that makes this a Vanilla Chai White Russian.
You could also use a dairy free creamer. Please know that if you use a dairy-free alternative, the milk will separate in the cocktail. It will not affect the taste however.
I like to slowly pour in the cream and let everyone stir their own drink when ready to sip; the layers of white and dark, are nice for presentation. But definitely make sure to swirl together with a straw before sipping, otherwise it will taste sweet and then bitter, instead of blended.
Other ways to use chai spice mix: in overnight oats, yogurt bowls or a chai latte, or in your favorite smoothie.
HOW TO SERVE Vanilla Chai White Russians
White Russians are typically served in an old fashioned glass, also known as a rocks glass or low ball. They’re pretty popular with whiskey cocktails and an old fashioned.
You can pour over crushed ice for a cold and frothy bevvy, but I prefer one large ice cube that slowly melts so I can sip this this one a little longer.
